As part of the BELTALKS conference, the WMG Foundation organised a roundtable dedicated to the future of the European Union's enlargement process and the next phase of European integration.
The Director of the WMG Foundation, Irena Petrović, spoke about the importance of a credible, clear, and measurable reform process, as well as the need for the European path of candidate countries to be accompanied by concrete results and greater trust among all participating actors.
On that occasion, she also announced a new WMG Foundation platform, which will be presented today as part of the BELTALKS conference.
The discussion was attended by European Union officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the business community in Serbia. The conversation covered potential models of phased integration, the gradual inclusion of candidate countries into the single market, Schengen, and sectoral policies, as well as the mechanisms and criteria that can contribute to a more efficient and credible accession process.
