The EUpravo Zato initiative was hosted by the Czech Center and representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the Serbia–Czech Republic game at the European Championship in Latvia. The match was followed in Belgrade in a friendly atmosphere, attended by members of the Czech community, diplomats, and representatives of civil society.
The Serbian and Czech basketball players played a spirited and exciting duel in Riga, while in Belgrade the cheering unfolded in a true sporting spirit, with applause for the fine moves of both teams.
"It is a great honor for us to cheer together with our friends from the Czech Center and the embassy representatives. EUpravo Zato is an initiative that, through various activities, encourages understanding and trust between Serbia, the region, and the European Union, and sport is one of the best ways to bring that idea closer to people," said Milana Petrović, editor-in-chief of the EUpravo Zato portal.
Members of the Czech community in Serbia also joined the viewing, further strengthening the ties between the two countries through friendly conversation, fellowship, and sport.
