Just how much progress Serbia has truly made on its path toward the European Union, in which areas it has achieved the greatest headway, where reforms are lagging behind, and how far it is from fulfilling membership requirements - answers to all these questions can now be found in one place starting today.

At the BELTALKS: Belgrade Economic Talks conference, organised by GLOBSEC, EUmeter was presented as a new platform by the WMG Foundation for the systematic and transparent monitoring of Serbia's progress in the European Union accession process.

EUmeter consolidates relevant data on Serbia's level of preparedness for EU membership, the implementation of reforms, the harmonization of domestic regulations with the EU acquis, the fulfillment of obligations by competent institutions, and adherence to deadlines. In one single place, it becomes possible to track not only what Serbia has done, but also what it still needs to do on its European path.

The platform was designed and implemented by the WMG Foundation within the framework of the EUpravo Zato initiative, in cooperation with a team of experts on European integration.
EUmeter relies on relevant strategic documents, reform plans, and European Commission findings, presenting data in a way that simplifies progress tracking and allows comparison between Serbia and other candidate countries.

The goal of EUmeter is to make the European integration process more measurable, transparent, and understandable so that citizens, the media, experts, and decision-makers can more easily monitor what is happening with the reforms planned under the 2026 Plan adopted by the Government of Serbia.

"European integration is one of the most important development processes for Serbia, and for the quality of that process, it is vital to have a clear, measurable, and transparent insight into the progress achieved. For the WMG Foundation, this project represents a concrete contribution to more informed public monitoring of Serbia's European path, more transparent tracking of the reform process, and a deeper understanding of the European Union accession process," stated Irena Petrović, Director of the WMG Foundation.

The presentation of the EUmeter platform, which is available at eumeter.rs, took place during the BELTALKS: Belgrade Economic Talks conference organised by GLOBSEC. The WMG Foundation is the general partner of the conference, while EUpravo Zato serves as the media partner.
